Yuki Yamamoto

Yuki Yamamoto obtained his Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Information Science and Technology from the University of Tokyo. He joined Sony Corporation (now Sony Group Corporation) in 2012. Since then, he has been engaged in research and development, focusing on algorithm design and software implementation, primarily in computer vision, robotics, and VR/AR.

Driven by a longstanding interest in human cognitive functions dating back to his student days, he joined the Mental Barrier-Free Project at Sony Computer Science Laboratories (Sony CSL) in April 2026. He is engaged in analyzing measurement data from VR environments and developing and evaluating models to estimate cognitive load and stress. He aims to deepen our understanding of human behavior through technology while simultaneously contributing to societal implementation that promotes mental well-being.
